When is the game's earliest start date?
I am very curious about the game's start date. Maybe this has been said and I just haven't heard, if so, I haven't looked much into the game, but I'm very interested in early civilization, so it'd be kind of interesting to see states popping up while I'm playing babylon or something. Also, I'd love to see the ability to play through the polynesian expansion. That'd be really cool.

The game starts in 304 B.C or 450 AUC. It is also the only start date. Johan said "Most people start on the earliest date anyways, so making more start dates is just unnecessary work" or something along those lines. So don't count on new start dates or timeline expansions anytime soon.

Bit sad IMO, but non-start dates were always broken, at least in EU4. Maybe it's not common but I like starting in historical events like the Dutch revolt, but then I stop because its broken.
