Both deluxe and normal get the pre purchase bonus. Deluxe comes with the Hellenistic flavor pack

The deluxe edition gets the Hellenistic World Flavor Pack (containing four new army models for the Macedonia, Phrygia, the Seleucids, and Thrace, four new ship models for Egypt, Macedonia, Phrygia, and the Seleucids, six new on-map monuments, a few new events, and new music for hellenistic players), plus the art book, wallpapers, forum icons and avatars and, I assume the Epirus Flavor Pack (containing a new army model, a new ship model, a new on-map monument, a new music track, and six new events for Epirus), if you preorder.

All of this is merely cosmetic, except for the events, which won't really have a significant impact of the game and, as the names of the packs suggest, are mostly for flavour.

There is absolutely no benefit in getting the Deluxe version unless you want to play the Greeks and must have the correct unit models. If you buy the standard version off Steam you can get it for around £26 right now, as opposed to the Deluxe version which is £11 more. But I would always recommend waiting for reviews before buying any game and all these extra packs will be available to buy later on.

Totally, the deluxe edition is purely cosmetic, and the events don´t have a significant impact in the gameplay, i only bought it because i didnt mind the extra euros and i wanted to support the devs, if you are running short on cash i dont recommend you getting it, as i said, i see the deluxe edition as a way to tip paradox for the good work, not as a DLC.
