Family prestige?
Is it just for show at the moment? Or does it actually impact things already, such as party leadership maybe?

I've been favouring the Julii in my Rome play through and the now stand head-and-shoulders above the other families in terms of prestige. Next run, I'll stick to promoting only the best, and just see which family RNG lets come out on top.

I'm not positive, but I think it might have a hidden effect on succession chance (in tribal nations; electability in republics?). I notice a lot of my successors seem to come from more prominent families. That could be a coincidence, though.

Ah yes, I now see a modifier of family prestige, to determine election support for the next consul (along with popularity and prominence). Thanks for pointing that out!

Okay, good to know. :) I hadn't explicitly seen a modifier myself, so it was just a guess.
