What? How does that even make sense?
Not sure that would work well for DLC, and anyway the major patches whose purpose is to fix the base game will be free.
Well. Imagine a table full of muffins and a large glass jar.
"Take a muffin and pay if you want to pay." is written on the jar.
You can choose to pay if you want and you can choose to take a muffin if you want a muffin.
Yeah that still makes zero sense in this situation. Quite like the muffin example, the vast majority will just take the muffin with nothing put into the jar. It's not sustainable for a business to operate like that in the slightest.
Additionally, in defence of CA, they don't release a broken ass game, and in their announcements to fix it they include announcements for DLC. No, CA actually has some shred of decency.
CA has been making complete games for decades now though. Case and point, Warhammer 2, and Warhammer 3 coming out next year. Britannia was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but you can't deny that 3 Kingdoms is a fairly alright game, and definitely a great showing from CA post-Britannia. Hell, I don't like 3K at all, and I can't deny it.
