Voice chat does not work

First time I installed this game, the voice chat was working cool but then it stopped working somehow. I don't know what happened. Game sounds work but voice chat does not. Can't hear people talking, can't talk either.

I reinstalled the game, still the same. What a frustrating game...

I don't have this issue but a friend of mine has had the same issue when we tried it this evening, and it kinda spoils it....
We spent a lot of time together trying to find one fix, and tried many but no luck so far
Hopefully there can be a fix cause we're quite enjoying so far otherwise =(

Yeah, it's really frustrating. I mean it's not any fun without the communication. I can't even understand how it was working for like 10 games and then it disappeared.

No. This is a fault with you. Just because it doesn’t work doesn’t mean the game is broken. This is YOUR problem, your equipment is broken.

Yes, my equipment is broken but I hear the game sound and music really well. Moreover my mic works everywhere except in the game, hmmm probably it's because my mic is broken. And yes Einstein my equipment is broken but it was working for a few games until I restarted the game.

definitely not, multiple people including myself have this problem and every other game works

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and it works 1 game and it doestn work suddently

We had so much fun together with my friends, and now it's a waste because I cannot join the voice chat. Discord works, sound works, tried every guide I found on the internet, restarted the computer, reinstalled the game, nothing worked.

i wrote a mail to the support [e-mail] to explain what happen, do it too maybe they'll fix it !! :)

Same problem over here... Microphone works in every other app/game but not secret neighbor.
I can't hear other players and they can't hear me. The gamesounds work fine.

Here a list of what i tried to fix it but didnt help:

- Restarting the computer
- Plugged Microphone into other Input Ports
- Reinstalling the game
- Run the game in compatibility mode win8
- Run the game as administrator
- Started a privat lobby and smashed every single key hoping to find a secret "voice activation key" that some other user mentioned
- Changed ingame soundsettings to every possible konfiguration
- Configured steam voicechat (Steam - friendslist - settings - voice) --> changed devices for in- & output from default to correct devices
- Check Windows Settings (Settings - System - Sound - Advanced Soundoptions) --> changing the in- and output for the game from default to the correct device
- Check Windows Settings (Settings - System - Sound - Input - Manage Devices --> deactived every other microphone but the correct one
- Check Windows Settings (Settings - Privacy - Microphone - Desktop Apps --> Secret Neighbor doesnt show up in this list
- Added a registry key (Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\CapabilityAccessManager\ConsentStore\microphone\NonPackaged) to add this app to the privacy list --> it didnt show up no matter what
- Checked Xbox Sound Settings in Windows10 --> Changed Microphone to correct device

If anybody finds a solution for this --> please post it here
