Report a translation problem
In survival I'm only on day 20 and don't really know what I want to spend souls on besides wolf teeth for lightning arrows.
This has been known as the fastest method for a while, but the problem is that it's still time consuming & ridiculously boring. That, and you'll likely hit the 1 million souls before you unlock other achievements like the 100 days or Saga level 50.
So really you can hit this by playing normal. I don't see the point in intentionally farming/grinding for an achievement. But the best way would be to use a Warden in solo mode.
You can check your progress by looking at your achievements in steam.
