Tribes runs well via Proton. Since Unreal Engine 4 is being used for development.
I agree, a formal Linux confirmation is certainly welcome. And long overdue.
Hi all,
Apologies it took so long to reply! Right now Tribes does not have Linux support. It may run on Proton - the next time we have the game open you can certainly try it out (and let us know if it does)!
Not right now, no, but this could change in the future.
From my experience Norsfell, Linux support seems to go back and forth.
Therefore, it would be great to actually see native support. It's been talked about in email, discussed, and of course outlined here on Steam as well. So the demand is there. :)
Especially since content development is using Unreal Engine 4.

second: dont waste resources supporting fringe operating systems. all the +1's in the world dont amount to copies sold and weve seen over the years when going back to these threads years AFTER the devs supported linux 75% of the people who claimed they would buy the game STILL dont have it in their steam libraries.
EXACTLY!
Btw I'd like to see the source for those statistics, because I can hardly believe them. I myself actually buy the games, and sometimes gift copies to friends because it's a cause that deserves support.
