How to get super mods?

I aim to get both required mods to make a super mod, but it doesn't seem to do anything? I am guessing it shows up in the level up menu to choose from but I don't get any super mod options in my level up menu after getting both required mods.

Yes, they'll show up in the palette of mods on level up. Like all mods, they won't necessarily show up right away. Once a super mod has been made eligible, it goes into the pool of possible mods like any other mod.

Was confused by this too, you have to unlock the super mod.

Go to the unlocks tab on the homescreen and see if the mod you want is unlocked yet.
