Nova Drift
too easy?
The game is very fun, but is it normal I beat the game in 2.2 hours? (on normal mode, of course)

we are measuring from wave 1 to wave 120 and beating Star Eater right?
now granted I am rank 64, I am sure this changes a bit with fresh file, but I tested it and completed it in 17 minutes

I didn't meant 2h for a run. I meant I beat the game after 2.2 hours total of playing it. I thought it would take a few days to beat it, more learning curve.

"Beating" the game, as you describe, is just the beginning.

strictly speaking, defeating Star Eater is beating the game, so they are not wrong.

Beating one mode of the game. So not wrong, but not entirely right either.

I mean, you don't call it "beating" the game in most games when you've completed the tutorial do you, or when you've completed your first run in a typical Roguelike?

My point is simply that the game has much more to offer.

but its the only game mode that can be beaten...

also, however short it is, we would also say we have beaten Final Fantasy 7 when the final boss is dead, optional bosses arent really considered

And my point was: I have 57 hours of FTL. I beat the final boss legitimately only once... And I was shaking like a leaf.

I simply didn't expect to be able to not only beat the final boss, but wipe the floor with him, the first time I launched the game's executable is all. And I was wondering if I just got lucky and made all the best choices without realising in my 6th run ever and created a god build by pure randomness.

But then again, maybe it's normal for this game. Hence the question.

It depends on all your choices, but i don't think you're playing 125/150% difficulty. Nemesis. etc.

Obviously not. I am SIMPLY asking if it was normal to beat the game on normal mode the first time you launch the game. That is all. I was wondering if the game is just very easy on normal, or if I just stumbled across a god build very early on. Obviously there are challenges that are a lot harder... If all there was to the game was beatable in 2 hours total, I would have refunded the game...
