and constructs are the same, get them if you want to (or are done with the build you are planning to use and don'T know what else could do well).
oftentimes the choice of "do i get XYZ" depends fully on what type of build you want to go for.
As already pointed out before, after playing a few runs and testing things its generally better to try and "make a build" instead of just picking things because they seem good because there are far more good things to pick than you have levels to pick things with.
I have over 1300 hours in this game, it has plenty of ways to do things and the more experience and knowledge you get in the game the more you see it open up with possibilities, previously "bad" upgrades can be very useful when combined with other things that enable you to do fun stuff.
The best general tips I can give is simply to keep experiment, there are literally too many tips on "how you could do things" that its kinda impossible to write it all down when it is so general like that. If you still want advice on something its better if you have at least something to limit the scope to what you want to do or have trouble with in terms of a build like
"Im not sure how to make the Bastion shield work, why/when should I use it?" or "I want to make a Railgun build to make things to BOOM". Much easier to help with stuff like that.
I would also recommend the Discord, its very active both with experienced players and newbies, plenty of people to get advice from or just show your latest run.
