Added a bad mod, need refund feature
A mod seemed like it would benefit my build, then it turned out not so. Somehow damage was nerfed. It would be nice to be able to remove a mod and get a refund.

Is it just me or is it often difficult to tell exactly what some of the mods will do. The descriptions aren't enough.

I would second a perk removal feature even if it didn't refund a point. There are a ton of situations where a mod will become detrimental to your overall build down the line. The super mods can be especially hit and miss which makes trying new super mods risky. Perhaps if you removed a perk within a minute it could refund the point so that it can't be abused.

Not sure how a refund feature could be abused. In your game, at some point change one build into another?

For a moment there I thought you meant you wanted a full refund on the game because you encountered a bad mod :)

LOL, nope! I'm addicted to your game.

Quite frustrating at times. Just got killed by 3 Celestials.

What mod was it and what weapon did you have?

Seems a little strong if you could say, take a bunch or early game mods and get full refund for them late in the game, no? I'm an obsessive min-maxer and would abuse the heck out of it if there was no downside. I guess you could make it cost rerolls instead but there really should be some drawback imho.

My main point though, was that I would still discard perks even if I didn't get the point back.

What mod would you take early on and then refund later? Can't think of where this would be useful.

You could limit the feature to just refunding the most recent mod. Previous mods would be locked. This would save us if we took something that then obviously was a bad choice.

Any construct would fit that (they have tons of early power but lategame need synergies to be usefull). Maybe taking multishot perks that give a ton of early power and scrapping that later for a Singular Strike build. Taking Corrosion just to kill early snakes and later scrapping it. Even just taking weapon perks and later recycling into a Hidden Power build. Theres tons of possibilities.

Although I'm against locking it to just the most recent perk. Maybe it only gives the point back for the most recent perk but if a perk is causing more harm than good I would want the option to cut it out even if it wouldn't give me the point back.

Yeah, losing a point is better than accidentally ruining a run by picking the wrong mod.
