Also,
I'm running it on a Dell Inspiron 7577 and all my drivers are up to date
windows 10
version 0.18.3.0
This is unusual. It's likely some sort of interaction with software on your computer or your video card. If you have not "hard" restarted since you tried playing, I'd try that first. Alternatively, try disabling any non-essential software (anti-virus, programs that monitor performance, vsync, etc). You could try putting steam in "offline" mode, and then restarting your PC in safe mode. Running it in compatability mode is something to try, too. Here's how: https://www.google.com/search?q=running+a+steam+game+in+compatibility+mode&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS750US750&oq=running+a+steam+game+in+compa&aqs=chrome.0.0j69i57j0l3.2919j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#kpvalbx=1
Failing all of that, my next 2 suggestions are:
1) Email me, I'll help you with a stand alone version of the game
2) See if our future engine transition solves the problem for you, I suspect it will make the game overall more compatible.
I hope we can work it out.
Hull: Bastion
Shield: Amp
Had maximum blade drones (fusilade, overseer), hit the ring boss with every drone at the same time and the game crashed:

I got the hull wrong - it's Architect.
If you have Architect and Bastion, and then take Shield Construct, the Bastion will automatically disappear and then NEVER reactivate. If you pick up another construct, like Ally, the Ally will spawn but immediately be destroyed, because Architects can only have one construct total, and the Bastion barrier must be still "active".
You would think having Bastion and Shielded Construct would make the Bastion barrier have the shield's effects, so not sure if it's a bug or what.
I tried going into my drive and deleting the file, the download file in the steam downloads, stopping the download through steam and deleting local content, and deleting the folder in the steamapps/commom folder.
Sadly, the game is still reporting that the file is locked and the game is unplayable.
Switching the game's location from my D drive to my C drive fixed the issue for some reason, so it may be a file that isn't getting uninstalled when Steam attempts to uninstall the game? Not certain, but I can play the game for now. Let me know if you want me to try trouble-shooting with you, I wouldn't mind bug-hunting.
