I can do that , but just give me a toggle is better
anarcher 21 DIC 2019 a las 6:20 a. m.
You can also do it in software with something like autohotkey.
Kormit the Frag 21 DIC 2019 a las 8:00 a. m.
Not sure why you would. Things like efficiency wont work then

I have a great idea! Maybe the dev can make an auto-fire or always-fire upgrade in the future?

sounds more like a wild mod, like Rampage is for thrust. would have to figure out how charging weapons would intereact with it, though. probably something like 'tap fire to unleash charge'.

It could work like autofire making you fire without pressing the fire button at all, and once you actually press it it considers that charging.

Another question with autofire, is how hilarious would it be to have autofire and weapon recoil?

new way to move your ship?

You can use StickyKeys that's built into Windows for toggled fire, as long as you assign your 'Fire' key to either Ctrl, Shift, or Alt. Should be able to, at least - I haven't tested it.

Basically a reverse Firefly xD
I could definitely see this being a wild mod.

There are many games, especially shoot-them-ups and twin-sticks, that really need an autofire toggle because you just spend the entire game holding down the fire button anyways.

This is not one of them. You regenerate more slowly when you fire. With low-ROF weapons, you waste valuable shots. You can't make use of cloaking, charging or calibration. You waste your rocket stockpile.

There are many reasons not to fire in ND.
anarcher 29 ENE 2020 a las 2:01 a. m.
Equally there are plenty of reasons. Barrage, corrosion stacking builds, matrix builds.

Autofire would actually be great with the Charge mod, so you can fire at full firerate but still charge up when you need to. Would be particularly great with Splitshot.

Overseer and the new wingman interceptors gives you autofire...in a way, but I too would love an autofire key
anarcher 2 FEB 2020 a las 3:27 p. m.
But the wingman mod makes interceptors much worse. Their biggest strength is that they hunt on their own.
