Restoring a lost save

Restoring a lost save, or transferring a save:

Once you've run the game on steam once, there's a save ini file in:
C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\NovaDrift\
Just change USER to your user name
Once you're there you can edit that file in notepad
Within you'll find accountLevel
Change it from 0.00000 to whatever you want (such as 64.00000)

If accountLevel does not appear, you may need to die once so that the save file will write this value! Alternatively, you can simply add these lines yourself:
[account]
accountLevel="64.000000"

I can only see the steam_autocloud.vdf and save.ini, but none of them have accountlevel

Oh, sorry! I forgot to clarify one thing:
If accountLevel does not appear, you may need to die once so that the save file attempts to write this value! Alternatively, you can simply add these lines yourself:

accountLevel="59.000000"

This is a path to a folder on your computer. Its often hidden. Here's a guide of how to navigate to it:

Hello! No entirely related but I'm trying to import my save from itch. The binary from then was running the update which introduced wild metamorphosis. Not too sure how to make this work? I may look around if I have the time ;)
Do note I'm running the game under Linux using proton.

As far as I'm aware, all builds would keep the save in the same place (the folder above) and it should still work.

Ok. I'll have to look around the steam folders to find where the virtual C drive is located. I'll update this message when I find it.
