What is the average time to beat this game?

I am so confused. I see that most people beat the game in 17-20 hours (according to HowLongtoBeat.com). I turned on "self-assist" mode with the battles, so I would get at least "Nice" on every battle. Yet, it took me a good 26-27 hours to beat the game. I ended with all my characters on level 25. And i never had to redo boss battles. The ending battle took me a good 1.5 hours. Did it take everyone else this long? Or did i miss something entirely?

It took me about 29 hours, but that's because I also did backtracking to find some of the gems I missed. In fact, I still need to reload a save and finish the sidequests. I actually started out with it on semi-auto, but I'm really bad at timing so I soon changed it to auto, I didn't pay attention to how long most of the boss fights were though.

According to Steam (so the save file is likely shorter) it took me 27.8 hours to 100% it with no battle assists, and several hours of that was backtracking through the vast majorty of the game looking for secrets, only a couple of which I ended up looking up (the hidden bathroom for example, that is some nonsense). It is worth noting that there are only a couple dozen times posted on there overall, let alone for a single category, so it may not be the most accurate.
