Just wondering since it's all his intellectual property. I mean...I know that the teams work hard on these fan games, but I wonder if the man who created the world and characters...and music sees any dimes from it...

That's unfortunate...I mean, they are his characters n' all. I was just wondering how he views usage of his IP. I hear that he often doesn't mind, but when money's concerned, I have no idea.

I also remember him saying something like he's not okay with porn of his characters, but....well...you know the Internet. lol (Of course, there's also the thing with the selling of porn doujins involving his characters...)

Now, I'm not bashing the devs, porn artists, or whatever fanart creators (like Nintendo seems to do...), but it seems like something that doesn't get asked enough...if at all.

The only reason anyone knows what Touhou is is because of fanmade content. Music arrangements, doujins, and of course games spread awareness of the franchise and encourage people to play the originals. Otherwise, Touhou would have likely faded into obscurity over the years.

ZUN has a proper programming job, too, and he does Touhou as a 'past time project'.

The fact that our 'Creator' grace us with his blessing of making fan media and merchandise without taking a single cent is the reason why Touhou continues to grow. It's fun for everyone to enjoy.

Hes actually not for the porn of his underaged characters (from what I read), but he hasn't taken action on it yet
