and DB desync issues #youhadonejob. It was always a joke. There are countless services out there never needing a reboot for years on, congrats for catching up with the rest of the world Iceland! My customers at my job would throw a fit if I had to issue daily restarts, even a bi-yearly restart makes them think they should switch to someone else. This is one of the main thing what kept me away from playing for many years now, I'll keep an eye on it and see if you can deliver 20th century service in the 21st century this time or fall back to your 1998 level of service before I trust you again. Why do people feel compelled to criticize a product by pointing out how their business (apparently) doesn't have any issues? Then we find out, of course, that their business is some kind of 2-man podunk little operation hosting simplistic online storefronts for old ladies selling home-made candles. Are you running a single-shard MMO with an absolutely insane amount of interconnected code? Should people start switching to your game because it doesn't have daily reboots?

No, I bet that whatever it is you're doing has nowhere near the complexity of EVE Online, and if the team responsible for EVE's programming were responsible for whatever it is you're doing, they'd do it better. Your "I'm a very successful important businessman and my business does things so much better than these fools" routine isn't actually fooling anyone. But do post an update once your new spaceship MMO is up and running, and all of us can switch over so we don't have to put up with the one thing that absolutely ruins our EVE Online gaming experience and makes playing this game completely intolerable: having to wait less time than a bathroom break for a server restart.

Oh, very interesting you'd say that, considering that according to your profile you live in Oregon, and EVE's daily downtime happens when it's 4 AM for you locally.

Personally I have no issues with current downtime even if it was 15 minutes, since it's daily at 12:00-12:15 UK time, ideal for lunch Great stats to be aware of, this means most of us are wasting up to 11 minutes to try and join once the restart has begun, believing it to be up to 15 minutes.

If a max of 4 minute restart each day at specific times is too much for you to handle then I can't imagine how you'd feel in the emergency room.

I am interested how things that respawn at DT will be handled ? For example ICE belts. Personally I would like all belts to grow rather than just appear. Also please make ICE belts randomly placed icicles rather than each belt being a Doppelgänger of all the other ICE belts. Since there are not many ICE belts anyways I would think the extra FREEZER power would be small enough and make ICE miners have to think how they will mine the different configuration each time, this would make it more realistic and interesting.

Maybe hire some programer and add memory managment ? Ffs....... Eve is on bare life support at this moment.

Memory leak can be caused by incorrectly clocking your video ram and/or system memory. (This is what can cause a driver timeout in extreme cases, where you might be using 98% VRAM for example)

It's also not that a big a deal compared to heatwaves, I am currently melting and my PC feels it too
