Login Failed Error

I just downloaded the game hoping to play but I keep getting this error:

"Login failed. Possible reasons can be:
We are currently in the process of creating your EVE account. Please try again in a few minutes."

I've already waited close to 40 minutes. I've tried restarting the launcher, steam, and restarting my computer. This is incredibly frustrating.

The servers for character creation are apparently down according to a CCP official statement, very poor timing unfortunately, however it will probably be back up within a day so don't lose hope!

Guys I had the same problem. Propably you have activated game on steam couple years ago before it was f2p. If so, you need to completly remove eve from your steam library and then add again. This solved my problem with initiating eve account via steam.

nono it was the subcription service that wasnt working now its ok
