Steam won't install Eve
When I hit the install button, says install size in 0. Immediately says complete, and the only thing in the folder is the steam appid text file. There is no files to verify, it's a completely empty install. When I try to play, it can't find the eve.exe file (because it didn't install one). What's going on?

Step 1 : download the installer from https://www.eveonline.com/download
Step 2 : install it in whatever your steam folder is. For me it is "C:\SteamGames\steamapps\common\Eve Online"
Step 3: Launch EVE Online from the Steam Launcher, and it will 'fix' the launcher and add your steam account (enabling all steam things).

hey same here as well but i found a solution you simply cant download via steam download it from here https://secure.eveonline.com/email/VerifiedSignup/ the download might seem small but upon launching EVE it begins loading the rest i have not fully downloaded it yet but after it is i imagine you would be able to launch it via steam via the add a game feature in the bottom left. hope this helps

i gave up on the steam version and i installed from their website... but im still curious to see the solution for this and what causes the problem.

Same, cant install the game. It says it need 0 mb of space and shows as ready to launch. But folder only contains a .txt with a game token in it

DLC being sold for a game that wont install. This feels shady.

so, did anyone of you did as Grazed Death said and installed straight from the eve website? cause you can login with your steam account straight through the eve launcher (without steam): https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203523662-Setting-an-account-name-for-Accounts-created-through-STEAM

Yes, you can download from the eve website directly. And you can even add the .exe as a 3rd party application in steam so you can "launch" it from steam. But you lose the steam tracking, purchases, overlay, etc...
