Multiple accounts trough steam
I had a question about making alt accounts trough steam. Is it possible to also purchase the Premium Edition for those accounts or will that only work on one?

Secondly, can a Premium Edition still be bought for a account that has already been activated to Omega using the Steams subscription plan?

No, and I think no for the second one, but am unsure. I'm not sure whether the "purchase again" restriction checks only for starter pack presence, or simply whether or not the account has ever been subscribed. I believe it won't let you, because you can't do it for standalone, non-Steam accounts.

Fair enough. Is it even possible to make mutiple accounts trough steam? I ask because I can much easier do my payments trough Steam thanks to their support of iDEAL. I had planned on making the same amount of accounts trough steam that I currently use now and simply have each of the main characters transfered.

If I am stuck with having to buy mutiple plex each time for subscription time it will be to much of a hassle and a waiste of money (imo) considering 12 months costs me 130 euros on steam, where 12 plex cost me a bit over 200.

You can, but you'll need to make a separate Steam account for each Steam-bound EVE account you want to run. Valve doesn't disallow having alt accounts, so it's a viable option.

That sounds like a awefull lot of hassle for stoner such as my self. Would I not also have to run mutiple Steam clients?

Thank you for trying to help me out on this, its much apreciated.

No, because nowadays you can create discrete login credentials for your Steam-bound EVE accounts, and log into multiple accounts through a single client, just like non-Steam players can. But you can still continue paying for all of those accounts through their associated Steam accounts.

Yeah I realised that. Considering you are able to buy multiple copies of the same game that way could I not do the same with the Premium Edition?

Yes, but only one per account (and it can either be starter pack or premium, not both).

That would be fine, I planned on making an additional three accounts so that I could stop using my older ones. I'll send out a pettion to both CCP and Steam to make sure I am not stepping on any toes, and hopefully this will save me a lot of hassle in the future.

Thanks for the help :))

Don't bother with the petitions. Neither has policies against alt accounts. You'll just be needlessly clogging up the support system.

It was more about buying multiple Premium Editions for my self, I know having alts is not a problem.

Why would you think that would be against the rules? You can buy whatever you want for yourself, as much as you want, as long as the system allows you to.

Because surely it would not of be such a ffing hassle other wise ;( Why they not allow me to simply buy multiple editions of the game is beond me, or at least make it possible to creat alts trough the EVE Steam client (there is a function like it but it will just take you to the normal EvE-O page)

The system works by tying your SteamID to your default account login credentials. Since you can only have one SteamID per Steam account, you can only have one EVE account per Steam account. It's a bad system, and other games on Steam handle things better, but it's what we have, and CCP is in a habit of ignoring the Steam side of things.

Anyways, feel free to file petitions, but you're just wasting your time.

Also, you should wait until a sale to buy premium editions anyway. Half price.

I would have to wait then. Its been a few years and the fun I had with the alpha account I made using Steam really made me want to pick this game up again. To my understanding the EVE account that uses the premium edition gets made on purchase. Any account I made now would be useless and I again would have to re transfer a couple of characters. Thanks for clarifying the system btw.

When did you initially get EVE on Steam?
