PvP in this game sucks
There is nothing fun about pvp in this game

Its just an endless grind for ISK to get ships thats are blown up in 5 seconds. Everyone else can and will destroy you because they have more SP and have tech 2 weapons. You can't ever have a stable and reliable set up because

And the community are full of arseholes who will take delight in tell you that you should suck and "going join RvB carebear" or just call you an idiot when you complain.

How can anyone have fun in this game?

I feel your pain, I mined for weeks while i skilled up to a decent ship, It lasted but a few seconds out in an astroid belt. My fault though i was stealing cargo from other peoples kills.

I understand it can be annoying as a new player. Maybe try playing some agent missions, or try exploring - while that happens train skills. The skill system does take some time, but once you get the basics it is very easy. Look into getting your "certificates" in the game as well. They will help you build a solid foundation for you to start. I hope this helps in one way or another, but if you have questions or would like some more help please feel free to msg me.

Cheers.

I've been playing this game for 3 months. Have most of the basic certificates.

And pvp is still unfair.

Pvp is hardly unfair when at it's core it is a rock/paper/scissor system. Where new players falter is in the fact that there's soo much to know to be viable as a pilot when deciding if you should engage or run. Knowing what is prey and preadator is the largest learning curve in pvp. Then there's the whole missile/turret mechanics to learn and get your head around, not to mention correctly fitting ships and understanding how to execute said fitting in combat. Actual skill points and piloting skill are secondary and no where near as important. Eve pvp has much more theory before practice than just about any other game out there.

That is why people say to new players that joining a corp is so very important. If you want help I have my own private channel ingame you're welcome to join, just message me on steam.

EVE is not a game like any other. 3 months is like: "hahaha! only 3 months?". Don't go on PvP with no experience in EVE and with only 3 month toon. Besides claiming certificates is not good idea (for sure not all of them). In this game you can't just train everything, you have to specialize... very strictly.
http://wiki.eveuniversity.org - check for guides on profession you wanna pick in EVE. Find couple of your personal friends who wish to join you in EVE. Familiarize yourself with the game.

I played this game more than 9 years and i agree that solo pvp is unfair for new players.
Solo pvp is not for many players.
But join an alliance and you can pvp with every other player in game, social group pvp.
Find a nice merc/pvp/pirate corp with a fine FC and start pvp, GOOD LUCK and FLIGH SAFE.
A40degreeday 13 sierpnia 2013 o 16:10
join corps. Solo PvP isnt going to be something you do until you get the SP for it. Having 1 other person next to you PvPing makes all the difference and having 3 is just a recipe for destruction on your end. As complex as this game it can turn into a simple experience when you have friends or a corp by your side. You have to learn with this game, it isn't WoW where its simplified(not that its a bad thing) but every thing in this game takes time and you won't be an expert in 3 months. 3months in eve is like getting out of Darnassus at lvl 20 in WoW.
BigMamuu 13 sierpnia 2013 o 19:11
Agreed. Join a PVP focused corp - that will get you goin.

Fly safe.

Don´t do pvp in a ship you are not willing to lose.

RvB might not be hardcore nullsec guys but they certainly aren't PVE carebears. Join them or Eve-University and they will hold your hand and walk you through all sorts of combat situations to get you used to the way things work in EVE. A newbie is certainly capable of podding a much more experienced player, but it would take more skill, planning, and a bit of luck. Within a few months of playing (with proper skill assignment) you can be more than viable in 1v1 and small gang combat. EVE is tough and requires a bit of a time commitment before being able to just venture out and blap other players, but there is no lack of training to be had on the way.

PvP is tons of fun when you win. It is sad times when you lose.
B✪✪tsy 16 sierpnia 2013 o 16:54
Well one thing about starting your pvp experiences is to not go to nullsec (un less you really know what you are doing). Most nullsec gates have blobs waiting for you and you will die in a few seconds , no matter what ship you fly. Even if you check the kill list and try to find a quiet route chances are that still a few gankers are waiting for you with scramble probes and all that stuff. Low sec is fun though to do solo pvp, with 5 mil SP you can already pop some ships if you use the right boat. But again, the general rule is "íf you can´t afford to lose the ship then don´t use it for pvp".

Be sure to watch some of the pvp tutorials on utube. IThat may help with tactics. Join a pvp corp that will help.

I actually recomend you go into Faction Warfare you can make isk by plexing and then still learn alot and differnt size plex's limit what can fight you eg a novice plex will only let in T1 and faction frigates and the rest small=Frigs,T2 frigs, destroyers,Medium=cruisers and down and finaly Large=anything. If you are already in Gallente space or are willing to move there i recomend a corp called "Noob Mercs" it is part of the "Monkeys with guns" alliance of witch i am a part of all of Gal Mill has fleets up all the time witch will be all to happy to let in a person flying a takle frig and we fly a fit known as the Durptron it is the atron hull fitted with a small shield buffer and blasters they are given out for free (to noobs) on there own will die horribly but when 40 of them are flying around we can bring down battleships! And lastly if you want to fly in pvp pick a small gun type and train it to T2 it only takes 5 days i know that seems like a long time but its well worth it. If you need any help in game feel free to contact me.
