Pretty much any corporation that doesn't have a newbie CEO is going to do an API check. If you're going to do anything shady, you might want to do it on an account separate from the one you'll use to play with other people.

hahaha that sucks man. find a better corp then, and it is an issue on my end bc I can't even see what my API is. It simply erases what i have done and starts over

I'm less worried about me doing unto them and more worried about them doing unto me. I know they cant actually alter anything with my API, but giving all my information to an indeterminate bunch of sociopathic strangers and homicidal maniacs doesnt make me feel any safer, quite the opposite.

Its one of the reasons that I've avoided joining a big established corp. I just dont trust them.

There's little they can do with the information, correct. Furthermore, because they go through so many API checks for so many people, chances are they'll forget anything they find in there within minutes. Unless your mails are full of MLP erotic fan fiction, you will blend in.

The one thing you should watch out for is people stealing your trade secrets when they have your wallet API access. That's why it's better to do stuff like trading on unaffiliated alts.
