Mac Users Eve Launcher Issues [NO FIX INSIGHT]
There is currently a bug with the mac version, allowing the user to launch the game, but not being able to login succesfully.

I filed a bug report over at eve and they replied very quickly, I'm a mac user and they replied that the steam mac launcher is not yet ready, they are trying to resolve the issue ASAP and said an update may be out at the end of the day today or monday.

This problem that you describe is a known issue.

The EVE launcher for Mac was not yet ready for Steam integration, we are working on resolving this ASAP. Okay, guys sorry to inform you but there is currently no patch coming up in the horizon, so for those guys that would like to play it on mac you will have to contact EVE Online support at support@eveonline.com and explain the situation they will know what you are on about.
What do you have to do:
1. Create a eve online trial account or ask the offer below to be transfered to an existing trial account.
2. Contact EVE support at support@eveonline.com (they should be quick to reply)
3. They will add the following offers to your account as reimbursment:
They weill add the extra 30 days manualy, however they cannot transfer the starter pack over so instead you will recieve an extra Plex which can be read about at (http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/30_days_Concord_Pilot_License_Extension) these are worth more tha the starter pack items.

This is current word, if there will be a fix sometime in the future is unknown so un less you have some hatred towards websites I would take the above offer, there is no need to redownload the client the downloaded client should still work.

Why would they launch this without both launchers ready? Is CCP asking for bad PR? Alienating an entire platform of users. JK I just virtualised windows within mac.

I have a virtualisiation of windows on ma mac as well, but I cba downloading another 6.2GB...

I shouldn't HAVE to run this on Windows. I bought it to play on my Mac, which it said I could do, and I can't. I'm not in the wrong. They are.

Oh yes they are very much in the wrong, and I'm annoyed, cause I can't download it again without my ISP killing me xD... I download trial for windows + actual game for mac so that alone is 12.4GB at it's only the 8th of this month :/

This really isn't ok, especially since this game is monthly payment. They're basically stealing money from mac users right now because we aren't getting all of they days that we payed for.

I finally used my seriously under-powered Windows computer to download the Eve client so I could at least create a character in order to file a petition. It runs with all the settings turned to Low. It was kinda comical watching the textures pop in on my character's face, one section at a time. I'm not sure what he really looks like. It'll probably be an ugly surprise when(if) I can log in on my Mac.

Edit: I should point out that when I logged on through Steam on the PC, the auto-login worked just fine and I was deposited directly to the Character Creation Screen. So, that part of the Steam integration seems to be functioning. Now, if we could just get it working on our Macs...

All I know is they said a patch would be out by the end of friday or monday, they unfortuantely didn't specify when on monday, but judging by the fact they didn't upload the patch on friday I can only assume that, unless they had a longer coffee break than intended, there seems to be a large issue which may take sometime to resolve... I can only hope that they will upload the patch soon, I wanna play as well on my mac :(
