How to fix EVE launcher / account issues

For those unable to authenticate with their Steam account, restarting the game through Steam has allowed it to detect the correct Steam account.

For those unable to start the game at all, logs of the attempt can be found inside the application, in a folder called launcher\cache. An example full path for this would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Eve Online\launcher\cache. When reporting issues, if these logs can be provided, it will aid debugging efforts.
