one virus suppressor kills my entire life bar and I'm hitting 5 per map. This feels like BS. I cant use pick ups to deal with it because 99% of the time clicking a white bubble makes a virus supressor.

The number that shows up when you open a nod means how many noods is far away the core, a tool or a white ball. Never open white balls unless you are in trouble. The core will never be beging a white ball.

I choice to the "longest" path where i tink the core is and it works for me.

there's a secret technique called the "rule of 6". basically try to click on nodes that are surrounded by 6 others nodes. they're guaranteed to be safe. however, if you do hit something harmful, that means the final node is next to it. this clip has a good explanation:
