Anyway, the answer is to use the contracts system to create a private contract. Make sure that it's private, and enter the name of your alt in the proper field. begin the process by right-clicking an item and selecting "create contract," which can be done from anywhere. You can only create one contract at a time by default, but there's a "Contracting" skill that will raise the cap by 4 per level. Probably worth the couple of minutes to get it to level 1.
now, what you can do, is set up a personal contract between the 2 characters, that way it CANNOT be accepted or seen by anybody else, then log into the other character and look for available contracts, and accept the one from your previous character
Just make sure you DO make it private and type in the other characters name EXACTLY, or you could give the items to a different person by acciddent
like this dude said. I do this all of the time between my main character and my trading alt on the same account. Just add your second character as a contact, get both of your characters in the same station or different stations if you want to move stations, then contract the items to the other character and done. Just log on to your other character, accept the contract, and voila! that character now has those items.
