Please use your EVE username / password
After winning the Holiday Auction for a copy of EVE Online Premium Edition, and starting up the game, I've been getting an error saying "Please use your EVE username / password". The thing is, I don't have one. Could someone help me out? Thanks

how to verify game chace trough Steam?
re doing the patch is what fixed it.
i tried,but when i delete chace folder launcher not updating - just long chec client
alright just let it finish whatever its doing, and when its 100% done close it and open it again.
should show a box to enter email next time around.

- yes I got my copy in the auction.
- My client is up to date, patched fully, and I can connect to tranquility.
- can login to eve acc managment, have all the premium things, no trouble.

Ok guys/ or gals, I Highly reccomend you follow these steps. this is everything I did whether necessary or not (I now have access and all the packs)

1) Verify integrity of game cache (I had 25 missing files after a fresh install)
...or skip this step and delete the whole damn thing.
2) go to: steam/steamapps/common/eve online/launcher and delete the folder called "Cache"
(OPTIONAL: some have not needed to do this, but you can also run the repair.exe within the eve online folder, deleting he cache afterwards is still reccomened)


3) launch EVE on steam and wait for it to complete patching or whatever it wants to verify.

(at this point it will show login/pass this is wrong and will only allow you to register a 14 day trial!)

4) Close the launcher and then launch again via steam.
(This time it should show an input for email only, which will create a steam eve account!)

NOTE: if this does not occur you may need to reinstall and repeat the process. especially if long term freezing occurs of the launcher. (but try closing and opening a few times just in case)

You will need to create a character and be inside a station to get your dlcs, in which case you must log out and at the bottom of character selection there will be a menu for reedeemables which you drag onto the desired character. I hope this helps everyone experiencing issues.
I try this several times. Also trayed uninstall and redownload game, but still "Please use your EVE username / password" :/
At this point, I have tried 4 times completing the process step by step that EYElysium provided but unfortunately it has not bear fruit for me at all, has anyone else found other ways to be able to get this. And quite frankly, couldn't Steam give us Activation/ CD Keys to be able to do it ourselves and avoid this all together?

so far its only worked for a few people myself included, keep those tickets to steam support open, ccp support may be worth getting into contact with as they would have more hands on knowledge with their own launcher (and are a lot faster in responding than steam support), ideally steam should of sorted this by now for everyone.

I might try again here soon just because, but I do have Customer Support Tickets up for both steam and ccp, but so far, only got the automated response of " We are looking into it". WOuld me having Windows 8.1 make any difference as well though?

I doubt it, it's not like the game isn't coded for it, given it's currently the latest Windows OS out for the world.

Did not think so, but running out of reasons/excuses to why this does not work and not many solutions, but I guess I should not complain about something I got for free

CCP are a good company, I'm pretty sure they'll add up the remainder of the subscription time so you still get what you won. After all it wasn't your fault what went wrong.

No complaints in regards to the company (CCP), heard great things about them in general and I feel this falls more on Steam itself as they are the ones that I got the product off of.
Hey everyone, just an update.....Eve Online has finally opened with the proper login set up and recognized my Steam account. If people are still having problems, follow the steps given previously by EYElysium and just plan on around 4-5 full uninstall/installs before it works
