Current state of NULL Sec?
I have been out of EVE for about a year by now. Before I took this break, I was with Nulli Secunda. I am fully aware they are pretty much gone. Sp what am I asking? How is null sec these days? Goons conquer everything yet?

There are a lot of significant game mechanics being changed with regard to null and capital logistics; more than can be talked about in a few posts. CCP severely nerfed jump drive travel (5ly max range for combat caps) and added jump fatigue (which you should read up on), and also the way sov works is about to be completely reworked.

They're basically trying to give free welfare sov to anyone who wants it, the way I see it, but I'm not really a 0.0 player.

I don't pay close attention to null politics, but it's my understanding that Brave Newbies were recently thrashed by Pandemic Legion and TEST moved from wherever they were to Wicked Creek. That's all I've gleaned from the Spectre Fleet channel and a fan site.

Im fully aware of the jump drive changes. That part saddens me, but the sov changes, hope they do not screw that part up too much.never been a fan of hi sec life in EVE. So IF null is dead when sov changes hit, looks like. j space or maybe low are my options.

It's not going to be dead, just completely different.

CCP is removing pretty much all force projection capabilities, so 0.0 entities, even big ones, will be forced to live in much more compact areas of space. While I can see how this would appeal to the casual gamer, it's also extremely anti-sandbox. In fact, CCP has implemented a lot of anti-sandbox decisions over the past few years.

Yea I know, one of the reasons I stopped my 5 accounts last year.

Yea and pretty much all the vets are crying b/c their assets can now easily change hands.... but isn't that the price you pay for living in null sec -- Risk V Reward.:bandit:

All it means is that the risks outweigh the rewards, and smart players are going to seek other opportunities.

Why jerk around with sov, when you can stick to high-sec incursions and make the same money with a fraction of the effort? This is already pretty bad as it is, and it's about to get worse.

Null moons = profit Null PI = profit Null Anoms = profit Belt rats = Profit

all in the nice comfort zone of sov.:legitimacy:

Aside from the moon stuff (which requires a significant source of manpower in order to defend), high-sec incursions and wormhole anomalies beat the other stuff you mentioned by a wide margin.

Even level 4 grinding beats half of the things you listed.

Null sec isn't worth defending in the first place
