EVE Online
ISBoxer
Hello i want to do this multeboxing thing and play with 20 accounts at the same time to make huge amounts of ISK. I looked online and on the official forums and it is allowed. So where do i get this software that lets me play with n characters with one mouse and is it free? or do i have to pay with PLEX? It has to be fun to pilot 20 ships with one mouse, looks fun on YouTube and Google. Please help there is no point in playing the game in any other way now for me. I want to make more ISK than anyone can! :trazz:

ISBoxer isn't made by CCP. Google for it, and buy it or get the trial version or whatever.

Oh and just because you have 20 accounts, doesn't mean it will be controlling them, even with ISBoxer. For example, if you plan to run incursions or wormhole sites (the two things where ISBoxer actually makes sense to use), you'll need to worry about dealing damage, positioning, logistics, and hostile players at the same time. The only other thing you can do with a mass of accounts is mine, and the income wouldn't be that great.
On YouTube it looks really easy. You control one ship and the others just copy what you do. So in reality i can imagine things like mining as you said worm holes and even wiping other unsuspecting players. Awesome! Just one question though. It almost looks illegal, can't imagine other games allowing the same thing to happen since it gives you so much advantage. Am i safe doing this and what do i have to watch out for?
It's legal as long as there's no automation involved. If you're not "botting," that is to say, running scripts that perform actions without your input, you're fine.
Hmmm... lolz isn't this automation? It certainly is from what i saw so far. You click once and 19 other clients get clicked as well. Unless i am missing something.

Automation means "self moving". If you are instructing them to carry out each command, then you are directing them. That is not automation.

Example of automation: a mining bot that travels from belt to belt, system to system, and mines without *any* human interaction.
Also, you're going to have to plex those 20 accounts. Unless you know what you're doing, you will probably end up not making enough isk to plex in the game.
Automation would be performing a series of commands without your input. Like I said, botting. If you manually press the button each time you need to do something, such as targeting or firing, it's fine. If the program does these things on its own. it's automation. Multiboxing is like conducting an orchestra; botting is like putting a CD into a music playing and having it play the entire piece for you.
I just said that.
I was typing while you were typing.

Desktop automation refers to software programming that makes it easier for the call center agent to work across multiple desktop tools. The automation would take the information entered into one tool and populate it across the others so it did not have to be entered more than once, for example

Taken from wiki.

I think.. if this is allowed there is no way you can be competitive in this game without doing the same.

Looks like i will have to find myself a new game, just one that is not pay to win.

Cheers!!!
I think i will get back to Dota :d2antimage::d2invoker:
People use alt accounts, but very, very few use multiple accounts in an ISBoxer setup like that. It's simply too impractical. Anyways, good luck and take care.

If your seriously one of those people insisting its pay to win, your not a loss to the community. its not pay to win simply because no matter how many accounts you have, none of your ships are stronger than anyone else's ships of the same type, and you have to pay just as much as anyone else for each ship.

The difference being with ISBoxer, outside of mining, you actual;ly have a higher chance of screwing up, or something catastrophically unexpected happening, and you losing FAR MORE than someone only using 1 account, or someone using one account with 19 friends on their own accounts aswell.

And just lame having to play the game that way to enjoy EVE.

having to play it what way? with alt accounts? No one uses that many alt accounts to "enjoy EVE", the oens who use alt accounts to the extent ISBoxer is required have stockholm syndrome to their corp/alliance/personal ingame wallet and take the game way too damn seriously. most if not all of the people WORTH even talking to in EVE use a single account, or 1 account with a scout that they control both manually for pvp, no coolbros ISBox.
