EVE Evolved: More FPS for less CPU update
This technology is called GPU Instancing. It's a rendering technique that allows the GPU to draw multiple identical meshes with a single draw call. Basically, you pass the GPU a buffer containing all the data for the objects you want to draw from the CPU. This technique allows you to send smaller buffers and perform more efficient draws by reusing the same geometry data for many instances.

DirectX 10 (January 2007) and OpenGL 3.0 (September 2004) had this functionality.

Eves client switched from Directx 9 to Directx 12 in 2022: https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/improving-the-foundation#:~:text=This%20will%20ensure%20the%20EVE,is%20supported%20by%20the%20GPU.

It took them 11+ years to update their rendering pipeline, then another 2 years to implement a relatively easy change to how object buffers are used. Why don't you guys demand better services for something you're paying so much money per month in, the only reason they are updating is because of the dwindling players.
