Buying Subscription from Steam vs EVE

Question I didnt buy from my game from Steam but Can i buy subscription Packages from Steam and can I add that to my non Steam EVE Account?

Reason I was thinking about this is Steam has cheaper subscription. I made my account on EVE ONLINE about 5 years ago when game wasnt available on steam.

Nope, sorry OP, can't do that. You can only buy subs on Steam for a Steam-integrated EVE account, which is created for you when you buy a starter pack on Steam.

well, you can with a steam eve account, just buy subscriptions for the account you are on the eve site, for 14.95 , but you cant login into the eve site or on steam with your other account, an then buy the time on there.

to make a long story short, you can buy sub on the eve site with a steam account, but you cant buy a sub on steam with a non steam account.

but you can buy plex on steam and contract it to another account. I'm having trouble tho, bought plex on steam to start my eve-steam account back up but it's not showing up. when i click on eve from steam all it says is "subscribe now" and gives me options to pay for game time. shouldnt my characters come up with the option to activate game time with plex?

You can buy the starter pack in a steam account, transfer the character from your old account to the steam one and there you go, don't need to worry anymore

i think you can activate a plex for that account on the login screen, it has been a year ago or so since last time ive played eve, but i think there should be a activate plex in the login screen, or somewhere on the eve site itselve, just login with your account details on the eve site then( if it isnt in the main login screen that is ,...)

problem is going in through steam isn't giving me that option, i dont even get that startup screen with my characters on it, think i'll try the main eve website, thanks

If you bought a PLEX and have it in the redeeming system on an unsubscribed account, just log into your account in the "account management" part of the main EVE website. There will be an option to apply the PLEX to reactivate your account there.

By the way, if it's been more than 6 months since you last played, you can get "recalled" to the game for 7 free days.

how does that recall work ? and does it apply to steam accounts too ?

Yeah, it should work for Steam accounts too. As long as your account has been inactive for more than 6 months, it should work. I don't want to advertise, but you can check my profile for a recall link.

You can buy a sub from CCP not steam and it is $15 a month...
