Steam authentication failed

I can't seem to login into eve through my steam account. I restarted steam, click play in the library and it says "Steam authentication failed". Anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix?

Having the same problem now after Steam went down. Tried to find a solution on the official forums but I haven't had any luck.

Probably a Steam issue. Give it a little bit of time, and if it's not fixed automatically, raise up a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Yeah, it probably is. I kind of like gaming through Steam, but it is so annoying when stuff like this happen.

I wish I never started playing through Steam. Regretting it so much. If only I had started through the regular client from CCP.

I used to play normally (quit for about a year or so) then I saw this special on Steam and thinking my new 3 monitor setup just got built, this would be awesome to get back into.

Seriously considering just getting back into my old account instead. Save me on training skills anyway. Plus you can use CCP accounts through the steam launcher even when Steam is down. I'm on my old account now through the same launcher.

You should be able to transfer your character to a normal account. I have one steam account and one CCP account, and the steam account always has these issues, the other account out of steam always works.

But hey, I got that sweet deal on the starter pack. Least of got that going for me
