EVE Online

Noob - can't find anything!
So, I get a mission, accept it, read the details... all of that makes sense. As far as getting to where I actually need to go is where I get COMPLETELY lost. I read the quest, right click the 'destination' in there and then warp to it... it stops me in the middle of nowhere. This last quest I was doing was the basic exploration quest, the second one (I think) where you have to rescue some people that are being attacked by the Blood Raiders. I warped, continued to be confused, found my way to the blood raider base, and got blown up in seconds. Is there an easier way to tell where to go?!?!

and I have to say I REALLY want to like this game but that's just so frustrating!

Simply warping to your destination should take you where you need to go. Is the destination in the same system as you or do you need to travel somewhere else maybe? Also, are you sure you didn't arive at an acceleration gate (not stargate)? Sometimes you have to activate those to enter the mission area but they can be missed if your overview is set incorrectly and you happen to be looking the wrong way.

In this one, I did need to warp from where I was (starts with a C?) to Luse... or something like that.

and I did a couple "jumps" as well as warps, so I should be approximately there

Try opening your mission journal and right clicking on the name of the system you need to go (Luse, or something). Then select 'set destination' and jump through the yellow marked stargates until you reach the system. Then try warping to your objective again.

Failing that, please take a screenshot of the mission journal and the rest of your screen.

Okay. Thank you for the help. since I lost two ships already being a noob, I just started a new character and am going through the tutorial again and will hit those low level missions shortly. Once I'm there if I'm still stuck I will reach out again in this thread. Thank you!!

You don't need to start a new character. You can just reset the tutorials in the escape menu. Also, how are you getting blown up in seconds on the tutorial missions? That should be pretty much impossible.

I don't know, but like I said I went into the "Blood Raider" area where I thought the rescue quest was and the NPC's tore me up.

hey man if your still playing hit me up in game Cody Rasr it will be easier to help in game. Also feel free anytime you need help to hit me up in game. To do so click on People and Places on your neocom left side of screen by default and then click on the People tab then on the top right you should see a search box type in Cody Rasr and search Right Click my name and select Start a Conversation or send me a message.

Righty, so let's see...

There several types of agents in the game and what you likely want first are the ones named "tutorial" whom you can also find by pressing F12 for a help menu.
Then you have various other "normal" agents that say eg. a security or some such as their division and have a lable lvl1, lvl 2 etc. assiged to them those guys are whom you talk once you have complited you tutorial missions and have learned a bit about how this game works.

Judging from the blood raiders it means you started an amarr character and you home systems is Chaven, Sehmy or Emrayur and tutorial agents for Amarr are located in Deepari, Pasha or Conoban.
See this for more about rookie systems[wiki.eveonline.com]
To get your bearings you can use this online map to Conoban [evemaps.dotlan.net] or in game map but teaching how to use it on the forums would take ages.

Also you can leave "bread crumbs" on your way though various systems and use items left in station hangars as way points from your inventory screen.

Also, this is NOT World of Warcraft. You do NOT receive "quests".
