EVE is very social game and it's good to see that you're on the right track :)
Here's a few popular examples. Google the names or check them out in-game and each one of them will be happy to hold your hand joining and learning to play! Most even give out free ships, isk, and skill books to new players!
Dreddit - Null-sec Reddit-based corporation
Karmafleet - Newbie goon-corporation
BraveNewbies - What they do changes, but they were founded on 'the blind leading the blind'.
Eve University - A real corp dedicated to educating newbies and helping them find a 'real' home.
Dirt 'n Glitter - A Faction Warfare corporation dedicated to honoring the glory of Ke$ha.
Eve mail 'Sajuukthanatoskhar' ingame and I might help you out!
In addition, TEST is better than Pandemic Horde because we actually reimburse ship losses if you were momentarily bad.
Then you will rise to the top, permanently bad is better than bad a few times and then giving up.
but for reals, we have a lot of stuff in place to help newer players be less bad and understand that bad can still be awesome if you get dank frags
Also I reccomend Karmafleet - goons are very nice to newbies: last night a newbie came late for a fleet when we were around 25 jumps out with hostile bubblecamps en route. FC cleared comms for a guy to tell him how to avoid the camps/burn through the camps and if the newbie sucessfully got to us in his condor he would give him 40mil. After 20 minutes he joined fleet and was bombarded with isk, not just from that one guy, but another 50 or so others with the total coming up to 800mil! (that's a hell of a lot of t1 frigates!)
On top of that, he then got a hero tackle on a battleship ratter, so we got a juicy kill from his work :)
