Best faction space to mine in?
I'm currently set up in Gallente space in a system which has about 6-8 people max at any given time, moslty anomaly hunters. I'm looking for space where i can go without being disturbed too much. That being said, i know someone will come up on me one day, and i'm ready for it.

Mining is the least-profitable pve activity in the game, and there is no "best" place to mine because all places will be equally terrible, unless you mine high-end ore in 0.0 in an organized manner.

Well..i mean threat wise, not profit wise.
In that case, no difference between areas of space, but stay as far away from hubs as possible. The further you are from Jita/Amarr/Dodixie/Rens/Hek, the better. Actually, avoid Caldari space entirely, and try to avoid pockets of .5 and .6 systems that are the "obvious" gank op targets. That's the best advice I can give you, despite disagreeing with your career path.

As far as profit goes, i have earned over 1.3 billion ISK mining alone.
Over what period of time, with how many accounts? You can say you made a trillion from mining, but if you've been doing it 12 hours a day since the game came out, that's still bad.

Moslty hitting up lowsec ores and transporting across faction borders where that ore can't be found, thus where the demand is much higher.
It doesn't work like that. Take my word for it. Of all things, the mineral prices are always almost perfectly in equilibrium across regions. The differences are actually in the margin of error. This is because transportation is extremely easy and almost effortless.

That is absolutely terrible. Like seriously, I hope you tell me that you're trolling me next post, because I'm kind of lost for words otherwise.

With two accounts over nine months, you could have trained two combat characters that would be incursion/wormhole capable, and you could, for example, run class 3 sites solo and make about 150 million per hour casually, and over 200m/hour if you optimized for maximum profit.

I don't know what to tell you, dude. I think you need an eye opener with regard to the game, because you've made some terrible choices.

Whether you're going to get defensive at this and tell me off, or have an open mind and consider the possibility that you're indeed wrong, is up to you.

You have the right to make that decision. I've learned a while ago that trying to change peoples' minds by force in the game is futile. Some evolve over time, most don't.

I guess at the very least, you can still act as content for others. Good luck.

Shotgun's right, that's impressively bad. For perspective: In 4 months, from scratch on just one account I made about 5bil. Time spent earning was about 1hr/day to 1hr/week.

And I'm not even that good.

So i'm apparently being held to a standard profit rate now and i can't just play at my own pace?

Nah, you can play at whatever pace you want, though you can perform much more profitable activities than mining at the same, or even slower pace. In the end, however, the choice of what to do and how to do it is entirely up to you. You're more than welcome to sit in a 1.0 belt with a single drone out and kill the occasionally-spawning NPC frigate for a 70,000 ISK/hour income. Now, let's say that you got killed doing that, and then made a post about how the system needs to be changed so that you could make 70,000 ISK/hour in a 1.0 without any risk or danger because high-sec needs to be safe, then we'd have a problem, as I'd find your claims illogical and reprehensible, and would try my best to educate you on your wrongdoing.

My reasoning behind mining and PvE being my main playstyle, is very simply, i enjoy it far more. I could care less how much ISK i have. As long as i'm doing what i find fun, i'm happy.

I don't have any disagreements with that.

I can make a suggestion, though: try some other extraction forms of pve if you haven't already. Running moon goo reactions is kind of the logical extension of mining. If I'm not mistaken, you can even refine at your own POS for a higher yield, so you could increase your mining efficiency at the same time. Not sure how profitable mining gas is nowadays, but there's also that.

I run PI in several places actually.....as far as POS goes, i believe starbases can only be placed in lowsec, and being a solo player who only has ~2 hours a day to play, i doubt i could defend it adequately.

Nah, you can anchor POSes in high-sec as well. They'll just need

https://eve-central.com/home/typesearch.html?search=charter

as an added fuel source. That's not to say that you'd be invulnerable, since you can still get attacked during a war. But if you set up your POS in the proper manner, and don't keep much of value there, they'll be practically invincible. As far as I know, you can't run reactions in high-sec, but you should still be able to refine.
