Games fun if you have a guide, I recommend joining a corp with help. You can get 1 Mil skill points if you join game using referral. EZ hop into a fine SHIP right away and do level 1-2 missions ezzzzzz.

Not like when I started where there was no free Skill Points or any help.

Not sure if there has been some kind of skill inflation or something. That 1M skill points that I got didn't last even a day. I spent that so fast and then just (I think) 4 million more to spend. So they are giving you around 40 days of training up front. You then need to spend about 1/2 a year to train the rest, and then that is it for the Alpha player. Long before that 1/2 year is up, I suspect most upgrade to paying the Omega sub or just plain quite the game altogether.
FYI

The forum is full of failed players who thought that space is a friendly place to be, repeating the same mistake again and again; like gamblers with an addiction. They roam the forums for years like ghosts who do not know that they are dead.

you can get into eve really quick... you can get 1mil sp just for having a account.
pvp orientated game ...
lots to do...
this is where eve stinks.... you need skills to do stuff in game.. therefore you are tied to your attribute points you pick which will dictate which skills you train first.
some differant categories of skills require differant attributes... which means you not gonna train at best potential (takes longer)
the sub is expensive ... to get the best prices for subs you need to buy the 2 year sub with plex @ 6600 plex which costs stupid real money hence you have to wait for the 20% sale to buy 20k plex which stil lcosts a whopping £329 to do it any other way is silly if you plan on playing for any lengh of time.

sounds great so far right? ....
unless you pick a profession where it involves you having to move valuables that makes you numero uno target during ganking event.

point of story.... read up on game bewore you invest any time cos it is one of the most expensive very much p2w credit card space exeprience. company is predatory AF.

Hello Salty , is there any way to do the high level missions like L4 and be safe from ganking ? Even in high sec areas you can get your ass handed to you by fking mosquitoes that you can't hit (unless you are doing PvE missions decked out in PvP setup) and you also can't escape them .... as you slowly watch your battleship explode.
This happened to me I think about 8-9 years ago when I though that once you were in a mission in high sec you were safe ....

I recommend you join a corp like EVE University that are focused on teaching new players the game. Note that the NPC corp you start in has a 11% tax rate for your income.

The whole game is pvp and you can be attacked anywhere, except when you're docked. But attacking someone in high security space will spawn the local police force CONCORD to punish the attackers.

If you do a mission in a high sec location and the gankers follow you Concorde will not come to the mission area (this happened to me years ago, I don't think they changed anything).

This is not true. Concord will come to the mission area and always have. If you were destroyed by someone in high sec without Concord destroying their ship then you gave them aggro on you by doing something stupid.

Not only are you unable to take responsibility for playing a game for 2,000 hours and still being bad at it, instead blaming others for your own shortcomings, you also blame others when facing the obvious consequences for your own racist hate speech.

I'm starting to see a pattern here.

“Racist hate speech”

Trump derangement syndrome is effecting people that are not even trump.

Where have I been racist?

This is how low of an iq this person has. You prove them wrong that they don’t know anything about the game and that eve is a pay to win and they report you for racism.
What has Trump got to do with anything?

Whatever it was you managed to post to get yourself banned would obviously have been deleted.

The only thing you've proven is your addiction to ritual humiliation.

Considering that I lost one of my smaller ships because of a misclick that aggro ed them I knew not to do anything hostile. In my case I was in a 0.8-0.9 area and they managed to kill me after about 10-15 minutes , in all that time concord didn't show up. If I did something hostile then normally concord should have come and fk me up as I was the hostile player, so regardless of me attacking first or not then Concord should have come and blow me or all of us up (they didn't).
So unless it was an exploit during that patch I don't have any explanation.

There used to be many ways for you to give away what's called "yellow timer" on yourself to other players. This gives specific engagement rights to those players. This typically occurs from looting one of their wrecks (Which can occur if they destroy an NPC in your mission and you loot it).

They have added personal safety toggles now, and with the toggle set to green it prevents you from performing any action which would give players yellow timer on you.

They may also have been at war with your corporation.

There have been exploits which prevented CONCORD from pursuing people, but never one that prevented them from spawning on grid. And if there was one such exploit and it was being used against random mission runners it would have been widely reported on.

Well, from what I remember they attacked me as soon as they warped in so it wasn't the looting rights (couldn't get out in time before the warp scrambler kicked in).
I was also solo, not in any corporation ... this was the most annoying thing, I just managed to get solo a BS and I got killed by some insects that I couldn't hit because I knew that normally nobody could attack me in highsec and brought no webifiers or other items for them.
Right after that I alt+F4 and uninstalled the game ...
if your into asymetric PvP e.g. ganking
Go for it EVE is built for that and its fun if that's your bag ... it is 100% pay to win so also be prepared for that

The starter content is interesting and has potential maybe someday they will build on that but at the moment if your into PvE, Coop or anything other than asymetric PvP move on this game is not for you.

Or just do what I do ... pop in every few years, checkout the new starter stuff it is quite cool and interesting and then when you exhast that (10-20 hours tops) move on come back in a few years
If you like to do a lot of research on mechanics while playing, then yes. google is your best friend
As you can see from some of the highly toxic comments in here, this game attracts the absolute worst that humanity has to offer. Don't waste a single second of your life with it. It is wildly unrewarding for the amount of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you have to deal with just to fly around and do low level content. There are many, many better games out there.
I love EVE forever. And pretty much everyone that has played EVE over time has had their Teeth knocked in. EVE is for people that are willing to use their brain in a way many games dont even come close to. EVE is brutal absolutely. No game has ever gotten my heart pounding like EVE. It can be slow often them Bam Its Fast and Decision made affect out come.
People make legit point here but imo people that complain about many things on this game can be over come. Many games are called Pay To WIn today. That is the state of gaming today. Everything Cost Money and no one works for Free. To buy everything in EVE is just not realistic. Yes Its better to Pay a sub for this game and yes People Multi Box. Absolutely EVE can become a job if you let it. IMO EVE is a very unique game suited for people that like to think.
Many games have toxic people people these days but you cant let toxic people affect your life or fun. X them out and chalk it up. But dont miss out on one of IMO one of the most EPIC games in the history of gaming. The lore and Stories of even player driven events is endless. When EVE says you can create you story and Effect EVE Universe this is absolutely true. And yea itll take Work. Anything in Liife that is Worth Anything takes Work.
In the End it is a Game Remember this and try to have fun. I could go on and on tbh but Dont Let other people affect your World. Yes EVE is Hard but what gamer really Wants Easy Long Term.
Best Wishes Everyone!
Yep if you have about 10000 dollars.
Easy to hard depending on what you're doing, stuff takes time to train and you can't rush it without spending some cash.
Save yourself a headache and join a good corp early, stuff you can't do alone as a noob becomes available when you've got a fleet to help you out.
