If they have tracked you down just like they do with everyone else (BOTs), so they call in a ganker or two which then are waiting for you .. on these "common" spots and locations ..
do not warp straight to designated location, but maybe 150km away (a second warp), and/or align and/or select a random station/outpost immediately.
also, keep your "Sensor Strength" aka Radar/Gravimetric/Magnetometric/Ladar, ECM as high as possible:: https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Electronic_Countermeasures#Countering_ECM
however, the "special" 14-days login campaign for "special people" is over, time to uninstall EVE OFFLINE again for next 5 years ..
if you are not within a fleet/alliance/null-sec/wormhole, just leave EVE OFFLINE .. it has become way too toxic against solo and PVE players .. EVE OFFLINE heavily prefers and supports PREMIUM PAY2WIN players and groups, so the rich becomes more rich .. just like in real life .. anything up 0.4 sec is slaughtered, dead and obsoleted long time ago already ..
he gets into local on a random gate and hits where i am going to land
Local was empty when i logged in so i wasnt scouted
Maybe sure but extremely unlikely they would have seen at most a harbinger on dscan extremely unlikely as well since i hit dscan when i saw him hit local and it showed as nothing within 14AU
what were you warping to? what ship were you flying? (harbinger?) and what ship killed you? is your loss on zkillboard.com, by chance?
None of the large groups are funding their endeavours by PLEX sales lol… the entire monthly value of PLEX sold in the entire game every month is about enough to fund my alliance’s economic activity alone for a week.
- Sometimes you disconnect from the chat server so you don't see who else is in local
- It's also possible that the guy disconnected and happened to reconnect right as you were landing
But most likely the guy just dscanned you after jumping behind you and was in a faster-warping ship.
At this point id chalk it up to he got lucky and randomly landed on me
