How much ISK do you need to purchase an Omega Account?

There is seriously no way I can afford over 20 dollars a month so I have read that you can grind your way there.

Does anyone know how much I have to grind to make it possible?

This kind of question seems to get asked a lot. It's like the old adage when buying a Ferrari. If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it. In this case if you don't know how, you're no where close to being able to. Currently it's about 2.5Bil isk or so to add a months plex on tranq, prices for Plex vary like everything else , you can do three months so around 6-7bil. Now again I say it will take you a month or two because of the skills required (I've seen it done with market trading, mining, combat, pvp, scanning.. so all the paths can do it). But all the paths require hi skills usually layered to get there. So you'll have to alpha a bit and use your 1 million skill points wisely and your path. But you alpha it a bit.. no biggy

I just grind like 3 hours every week and make around 500m when im lucky, Combined with other omega activities i make around 4b per month. i could doble that if i played more often.

Haa, I know I can't afford it which is why I thought why not get a ball park figure, and see if I can grind my way there.

As a freebie, You can earn 60/mill per hr and you need 2.5 bill for 1 month of omega. So 40 or so hours. Once omega, you get better at isk making and can do it in 25hrs / month. Even less as time goes on and you get better and better at the game. The figures I quote are what an average joe can do.

Plex trade for around 4.75 to 4.85 million isk each.

You can not "plex" omega status in smaller periods than 30 days, there is only one trade-in: 30 days for 500 plex.

There are no bulk discounts when plexing, whereas there are considerable discounts for bulk subscription.
IIRC you can bring the monthly rate down to 12€ or 13€ if you buy in 6month chunks.
If you catch one of the rarer deals throughout the year you can get it even further down.

Honestly nothing stopping you from enjoying the game as an Alpha.
At least once you can afford it, you'll have decent base skills and don't have to wait as long. Perhaps using a frig to run tranquils -> assault frig in a couple weeks and boom you're making pretty good isk.
Move on to cruisers and you can literally join a null group to pvp with or run combat sites, where you actually make better money than randomly jumping 20 jumps every day to do stuff.

Its simply 500Plex units x Plex unit cost at market = Omega price in ISK. To buy Omega through New Eden Store need to drag plex to plex vault , open New Eden Store and select Omega for 500plex and buy 1.

An alpha will have a hard time plexing their account with in-game currency, at least at the beginning.

The obvious way would be running Homefront Missions that require a fleet of 5 players to make isk efficiently. This is a low risk activity that returns 100m+ isk per hour, but there is downtime waiting for fleets to form.

Wormhole Gas huffing is also popular, but carries risk. Asteroid/Moon mining scales up in value/isk per hour but it's chicken-egg; you need to be Omega to fly the bigger mining ships.

Don't overlook project discovery, do this while doing other mundane activities. Some of the rewards are worth a lot of isk, especially if you can stick it out until level 500.

Just for funzies ,, since this gets asked been playin the last couple days on unused account alpha.. that still could get it's free skill points..which I got and did not allocate them even perfectly the way I would have liked (accidentally allocated for Weop Upg V oops) Could be makin 50-100 mil a session let's say already that would be up to making 2-300 mil in a couple weeks cause I don't play every day all the time... that would increase but I think I could be making enough in a month to start plexin Omega for it. You get one month and you could up your lev 3 skill limited up cause once it's there doesn't care but chances are if I put in the work I'll have another months to keep training those skills limited to level 5. Once there I can start grossin enough to buy 3 months at a time 1200 plex. Plenty youtube vids showing how to get it done ..

Mine and do industry as well. Weapons and weapons systems and ship are constantly being replaced. Takes a while for things to sell but while its being sold, you can be doing other missions or projects that will help get you more isk.
