Revive Dust 514 on Steam?

I just got a survey email from CCP with the questions: "did you play Dust514?" and "Would you be interested in a FPS set in the New Eden universe?".
Maybe they wanna revive it, or make something simmilar.

it was a good idea but making it ps3 exclusive wasn't a good idea, my bro had the beta and played some games, I remember using an abaddon to do one of those orbital bombardments but it required specific guns and specific ammo (so you could either shoot planet, or shoot other ships in space). from what I remember it wasn't fully integrated with industry since I seem to recall all of the marine equipment was seeded by npcs. it was only loosely connected through those orbital bombardments. I just don't think it ever got far enough in development to be another part of eve since the game itself didn't seem to have much context. what are we fighting for, what is the outcome. eve itself has various gameplay styles but an fps is just pure combat, there is no resource harvesting or crafting so its just going to pale in comparison to the game its strapped to. you look at a game like planetside 2 and that was the competition, and it did it better.

CCP was very ambitious for the time. I mean, Eve is an ambitious game on its own.

I tried Planet Side 2. I remember finding it after Dust 514 closed. Searching for similar games. It just didn't scratch the itch that Dust did.

My last email from them is from 2018. Not sure why they never invited me. It is my old email. I recently did a clean up on it. I made a new email because of the spam. Seems easier now days to clean up emails or I was just lazy.

The email asked me if I wanted to carry over my Dust 514 name. I guess I missed that opportunity. I will post the email here.

I guarantee that whatever this is, it's no longer a part of any future CCP plans.
