I am new to low-sec / blockade runners so appreciate the help.
A Blockade Runner has a Covert Ops Cloak. So if you align yourself through the debris, (ideally towards something you can warp to, (safe points if the gankers covered every angle, which you can make by scouting ahead with the Shuttle in your BR,) there's a fairly good chance you can get away.
If you can't warp, due to an obstacle that would break your Cloak, then your best bet is to align to a path through the debris, hit your MWD, Cloak, and hope the tackler misses you when he burns towards your last known location. And then change your heading. Although your chances of escape drop substantially in that situation, because the super fast tackler will be combing the area.
Really made a massive difference for me.
If you do insist on going through a camp like that, there's no guarantee of safety without pushing your align speed below 2.00 seconds, which is something achievable by a good numbers of ships in the game, such as various frigates, T3 destroyers, and specialized ships like the Victorieux Luxury Yacht. In most cases, even pushing align speed below 3.00 seconds will be enough, until you get unlucky enough to come across a tackler who lives 2 minutes away from the server in London.
What part of my statement was emotive or suggested it 'upsets' me?
I was asking for advice which everyone bar you has given without a fish attempt but thanks for the closing advice.
Thanks to all for your input - I made it through without issue as my ship remained cloaked until the gate and then instantly went through. I wasn't even locked.
But to that extent, it's not like I went off at you or anything, and in fact gave you genuine, practical advice on your best bet at counter-play. Since you can't guarantee that you'll be able to cloak due to the gate clutter, the only thing you can do is have a perfect align time. Under two seconds guarantees you can't be tackled ever. Under three seconds will be enough in most cases even against fast tacklers, unless they are so close to the server that they can minimize the command tick delay. And of course using a scout saves you from having to deal with gate camps entirely.
I came to ask for advice with an example of a gate camp I hadn't seen before and opened with an attempt at some mild humour.
I had zero feeling, good or bad when I did so as I had logged out in a safe spot and figured I'd ask the question before I re-logged later.
I won't do again as that's been latched onto and used to fish, give a psychological appraisal or just be generally contentious.
I have the answer I sought and effectively marked the forum as closed so thank you.
