Is there any way to get to the tutorial?

I had to close down after character creation, now the game is skipping the tutorial.

Re-install. The F12 menu contains your "career agents" which IMO is the real tutorial.

You don't need to reinstall...
There are tutorials all over the place there are like 8 tutorial areas.
So if you screwed up just fly to a different area and you can redo them again.
I recommend doing all for some quick cash and free ships also

I didn't even know how to move the ship, much less go anywhere useful. It's alright. I created a new character and the tutorial started for it.

umm dont you see Opportunities window open, that has all the information and examples, while video tutorials are in Help (F12)
