This, go to Astrox Imperium if you want to try the most similar game in the genre.

I always hoped for an Eve offline version so that game could live forever but nope and will not happen. Decadence is, sadly, unstoppable in any online-only games and that includes MMOs. We can still enjoy WC Privateer, Homeworld, TIE Fighter, Freespace 2 or Archimedean Dynasty for example, but we will not be able to do the same with Eve and that's a big, big shame :(

I tried playing this and couldn't get past the clunky UI. I'll try again, but wow it needs some work.
