if it has "covert" in its name I suggest you stay away from it unless you are willing to take the risk of getting blown up. when I came across a ghost site I used to switch into a cheap scan ship if I wanted to run the site. the loot is actually quiet good. I think I once managed to hack three containers and made it out alive but I usually chickened out after two. In a bigger ship it is possible to actually tank the explosion but its pretty tough.
as for relic sites, I dont think there are any that just blow up. you might find sleeper sites which have toxic gas clouds and some barrels that can blow up. if you are not careful these will wreck you too.
"Lesser" in high-sec
"Standard" in low-sec
"Improved" in null-sec
"Superior" in wormholes"
so while a few things vary depending on the space you are in, they all got "Covert" in their name. if it has "covert" in it, its gonna be a tough site.
