Research requirements to be able to buy specific blueprints?

i.e. Trying to by the Coercer blueprint at a local station that has a large supply listed for sale. Will not let me buy the print and my assumption is that I have not researched far enough up the tree to buy the print. Do not understand why I can fly em [Coercer] but cannot buy em.... [Coercer blueprint]. How does one find out the specific research required to buy specific prints??? A simple explanation of the game mechanics will suffice.

You can buy anything on the market as long as you have the money to do so.

When you say "will not let me buy," what do you mean? What message are you getting?

"Broker found no match for your order" yet in this specific case 23 Dragoon prints are listed. I seem to get this message when trying to buy higher level blueprints. If it were a one off experience I would believe the message but it has happened so many times that one stops flying to distant bases to buy nothing. In my current attempt to purchase a Dragoon print there are several bases withing 9 jumps listing 23 prints. Just flew to a few and get the same denial message.

It sounds like you're trying to make a remote buy order but don't have the skills to do so.

Buy orders are for when you want to make an order that will be filled over time by other players. If you want to buy something instantly from an existing sell order on the market, just right-click the specific order line you wish to buy from and click "Buy this" (or simply double-click the order line).

If this still doesn't work, please provide some screenshots of the issue so that I can visualize what's going on.

I have procurement level 4, trade 4, visibility 3, am trying to buy in the point specific station, and have tried several stations. Able to buy mainly Low level tech prints only. Have never succeeded at remote buying for some reason but have the skills. Just figured is a lack of knowledge on the game but am beginning to question that though. Where does one find a video that covers all aspects of trading??? That may answer my problems?

There are two types of buying, and two types of selling:

1. Instant buy - you're buying from an existing sell order on the market
2. Instant sell - you're selling to an existing buy order on the market
3. Buy order - a purchase order that gets filled over time by other players
3. Sell order - you're putting items on the market, and other players buy from them

So if you're trying to make an instant buy order for an item which doesn't have any sell orders in the region you're in, it's not going to work. Similarly, you can't instantly sell your items if there are no buy orders in the region. You can instantly buy from anywhere in the region, but the other types of orders, and order modifications, are affected by skills.

You were trying to buy a Coercer BPO, right? Are there any Coercer BPO sell orders in the region you're in?
