This is not something you can just get used to, with the old skill que window, I was able to quickly and easily do everyting I want. But this is a big exercise in how to make a big bloaty window where you have to scroll around and squint, trying to find you what you want. Why do there need to be huge symbols? Why the big wasted space that makes this window just oversized? Why not make this optional?
The less is said about the new character sheet, the better. Who came up with that idea... Just ouch. You can not hide the character potrait anymore. It takes up over 1/3rd of the character sheet, costs lot's of perfomance and serves no practical purpose except clicking on the 'Skills' button to reach the new skill que.
This is way way worse then red dot desaster. That CCP would release it in this state, without the option for the old style, is really worrying. My honest to got fear now is, that they want to revamp the UI in this style. (maybe for a EVE mobile future?!) Even if there is a big rework based on player feedback (lol i know), I am very doubtful this is going to satisfy anyone who played with a compact& somewhat easily to digest skill que/character sheet before.
Nevermind all the bugs with it and very obvious lack of functions we know from old the old UI. (double click to add skills for example)
Also, OP really needs to learn how to break up paragraphs into sentences, because that was very hard to read. Just, ouch.
Skill plans...? I'll refrain from saying too much yet, but they seem like a way to help players waste skill points, but time will tell as I look into it more. And I agree that the gargantuan icons just make everything look cluttered, and makes less info available at a glance.
I'm not fond of it, and seems like a downgrade. But as said, it may have been done to expand to mobile or something.
Eve is such a joke of a game, BDO looks tamed compared to how ptw this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game has become and each update shows it
in the forums on the official website there is a cloud full of zaps and poodoo going on
what is the point in asking for feedback but not listen to it anyways ?
its like "oh we ask you for a flavour you like but we roll out the one with the worst taste anyways"
they really should add the option to change back to the previous version and let people decide what version they like more : the compact one with lots of information or the oversized one with lots of empty space
Also agree that the SP info loss is annoying as I referred to this info frequently.
The style might be a matter of taste, but its not for mine either and the big fonts dont go well with the rest of the game imo.
An option to change back to the old one would be appreciated.
The real bummer for new players (since oldtimers will simply ignore it and this "up"date should enhance the npe...) are the skill plans. They are what i consider noobtraps. Some simply have skills that you wont need for the choosen path, eg why should an amarrian pilot have to train galente ships to be an industrial or caldari to be a scavenger. I bet many new players that want to get the rewards (even if their isk value is miniscule) will waste valueable points on those. To me it shows that whoever did this either spend no thought on it, simply doesnt play the game or did it with downright ill intent.

A lot of people are unhappy both my corp & alliance discords roasted the new skill menu.
Also in game use the thumb down feedback in settings.
