Lenovo Legion - Not able to use F keys

Hey guys,

I'd like to use my F keys for weapon slots as it is intended by the game. The problem is that using the F keys ingame only serves for their original Windows purposes, e.g. mute sound by pressing F1, increase volume by pressing F3 etc.

Is there any way to suppress those initial WIndows configurations ingame, so I can freely chose what to link to my F keys?

Shouldn't those key be "control" keys, as in, you have to hold the "control" or "command" key and hit the F# keys to perform those functions? Sounds like maybe your keys are reversed? If you hit control/command+F#, do they perform the normal function commands?
