Are you able to use a carrier as your ship?

If you train into carriers, sure. They're capital ships though, so they take a long time to train into. Subcapital drone boats are fun and potent in the meantime though.

Bear in mind most players have a stable of multiple ships for different purposes/replacements for destroyed ships.

Capital are not solo ships. They are slow and bulky and you better have friends ready to help you + a fitted cynosural field if someone attacks you.

You can only fly capitals in low, worm and null sec space (pvp space)
You will die horribly if you fly alone. There is always a bigger fish.

I have used frigates my entire career although I can fly every sub capital ship at this point. I feel like they offer the most entertaining gameplay, dont leave them out.

It's fun to drop on people with your carrier though. Just use proper fits or you will be laughed at.

carrier are capital ship: you CAN T use them in high sec they are to big for the portal IIRC

Even in a wormhole is stupid to fly alone in a c4... the logistic to enter everything necessary to build one inside the W-system requeries more than 1 people, protect the system while the building job is active, the post/citadel itself...

Again... no solo ships.
