I knew it!
Are we still calling them CCP ? I just call them property of Pearl Abyss. I hope they are planning to make this game interesting, because i'd hate to see what the Koreans will do to them if deemed a poor investment.
Do not go by Steam stats, the Steam version is not the primary way people play EVE.

Simply google EVE online Tranquility server player count and see for yourself.
Or do not. Up to you.
But more to the discussion, in regards to botting EVE published their Q1 report which indicated roughly 4,000 accounts between the start of the new year and the publish date as bots (something around the same level as Runescape if I remember their last report). Toss in a few thousand that actively manage multiple accounts for "intel" or whatever and you'll still have over ten-thousand unique players.
Again, Steam is a terrible metric to try and judge a game that's operated off of the platform. Someone already provided you a link to something to draw better metrics from, but you want to claim it to be a phishing link without even doing basic research as to what it was linking to.
For example, there's 26,471 at the time of me typing this post. If we want to assume the ~3k on Steam are actually in the game playing and not just leaving the launcher open, that's still ~23,000 accounts off of Steam currently in the game. A few hundred of which were newly created.
Where did all those fandom's go, nothing up my sleeve nothing in boots.
Presto.

My assessment: Warframe is obviously a bad game if more people are playing GTAV. Just look at these numbers.
They're both terrible games, that's why i present another magic trick which is a black hole drawing players from every where.

Also just making accounts really wouldn't affect the "current player" number unless they were actively logged into the game, not the launcher (something I explained in the previous post).
Joke's on you, because I activate my trap card:
