Report a translation problem
Right click on the ship while it’s not active, and there will be a contract option.
Set it as item exchange and make it private. Put the name of your other character in there. Then hit next and follow the prompts. And remember you don’t have to put any price down.
You’ll need 10,000 isk to make the contract.
Then on your other character open the Neocom > business > contracts and there should be an little notification saying you have a contract assigned to you.
Addendum: There are other methods. The others require being in a corporation, having access to a citadel, having at least two omega accounts, or having friends you trust (preferably the kind you can say “Now remember *insert name*, I know where you sleep” to deter theft).
Part of the contract process includes being able to select more items than just the ones selected initially. Try making one, you'll see it.
