Buy normal - Tier 1 railguns.
You'd be better off using drones...
Use T1 weapons ><... they don't require anything , if you arent going to be killing stuff, then a little ammo will last a while obviously.
If you are going to use civ guns, you are better off just flying away from enemies.
Like stated above, if you dont wanna use ammo, use lasers (you still need 1 ammo per gun)
Do not use Civ weapons...
Fly away , or use proper weapons - and drones.
The thing is that you can´t really plan to not fight other players in EVE, if they want to fight you they will and then you have the choice of fighting back or try to ensure they don´t catch you.
Also concerning the tutorial if it's the same one as when I did it the last time you are supposed to get your ship blown up and then getting 'podded' at the final stage when you destroy the station and get caught in the ensuing explosion. Supposedly it's meant to teach the new player that both ships and clones are expendable to them as immortal capsulers.
All in all even if you plan on doing mining you should atleast learn the basics mechanics of combat and specifically how you can try to avoid it. Being 'prey' in a cat and mouse game can actually be quite fun and is one of my personal favourite aspects of the game.
